Video Interview: Election Results Inside the Blue Rectangle (feat. Seth Masket)

Our post-election tradition of inviting SMOUTS back on the pod to unpack the results from an election in which Colorado did fine but the rest of the country did not.

We’re moving into internet circa 2005 by making our podcast available as videos! The whole reason we started a podcast and not something else is because, well, look at us!

But, in the interest of achieving our ultimate goal of making first Colorado, then America, than the whole dang planet THE MOST SMARTERIST, we listened to Megan who knows more than we do about these things and flipped on the little “record video also, even if you’re ugly” switch and voila! We now have a video pod!

Professor Seth Masket, director of the University of Denver’s Center on American Politics joins us in a post-election tradition to discuss what the hell happened, why Colorado seemed to withstand the worst of the red wave that swept most of the rest of the country, and where Democrats might want to go next. It’s an action packed if not thoroughly depressing sift through the rubble of an election we all had a lot of high hopes for, and if you’re still drinking/sleeping/eating ice cream for every meal, this one’s for you!

You can still find the full version of our audio show with a lot more content than just our interview with Seth wherever you get your pods, or right here at our convenient link to the show on every podcast app on the planet.
