We’re trying out a new feature where we’ll try to send a quick email every day with three things you may have missed in Colorado politics. Since this is our first one, we’re taking some liberties, as these three things happened this week, not today, but, you know, it’s our newsletter so we make up the rules as we go along:
Right at the top we’ve got Republican State Rep. Richard Holtorf (R-”Buckwheat”) asking the question at the top of the minds of so many Coloradans these days, “who in here has actually rolled and caught a badger with their hands?”
Next up, Republican State Rep. Stephanie Luck (R-Ironic Last Name Alert) recounts the first time she got a black eye, at 3 years old
And finally, this absolutely amazing moment from the second-newest member of the Colorado House Democratic Caucus, Rep. Lorena Garcia (D-Adams County) who gets that patented Speaker McCluskie deadpan in just the most perfect way:
